PROGRAM INFORMATION
Story Time is more than stories!
Ask the librarian about registration for our Preschool Story Times for ages 3 - 6 and our student programs for grades 1 and up.
A monthly calendar of events is available at the Children's Desk.
Story Time
Children hear stories, sing songs, participate in a variety of activities and crafts.
LAPSIT (AGES 6 TO 17 MONTHS)
- Class size limited to 6 babies & caregivers
- Three sessions per year
- Held on Mon. mornings at 9 a.m.
TODDLER TIME (AGES 18 TO 36 MONTHS)
- Class size limited to 8 toddlers & caregivers
- Three sessions per year
- Currently offered during September, October, November, February, March, April and June
- Four class times to choose from
STORY TIME (AGES 3 TO 6)
- Four times to choose from per week
- A 12-week session begins in January
- A 4-week session offered during the summer
- Another 12-week session begins in September
- Registration begins 2 weeks prior to each class
- Class size limited to 25
- Different theme featured each week
STUDENT PROGRAMS (GRADES 1 AND UP)
Programs are presented on Tuesday and Wednesday during the summer and on Saturdays during the school year.
- Craft Time
- Typically meets 2nd Saturday of each month
- 1-hour session from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. unless otherwise noted
- Required registration begins 2 weeks prior to each session
- Programs centered around special themes
- Holiday craft program
- Other craft programs
SUMMER READING PROGRAM
Includes special programs, crafts, prizes and parties designed to help keep kids reading during the summer.
Pre-reader Club
Children who cannot read by themselves
Elementary Club
Children who can read on their own through Grade 6
Teen Club
Students in Grades 7 through 12
