how do friends enhance and enrich what the library provides?
By furthering the appreciation of reading at every level and bringing together those who share a common enthusiasm for books and other Library materials. In fact, they serve as a medium through which the Friends of the Library become acquainted and share their enthusiasm for books, culture and educational activities.
By raising money for Library materials and offering support for specific projects. Money raised helps to provide funding for special programming including the Summer Reading Program, Adult Reading Program and Stories Under the Stars.
By promoting the Library and encouraging gifts, endowments and bequests to the Library.
By promoting a rapport with other educational institutions within the Community.
