The Food for Fines program is intended to help the Library and its members contribute to a community service organization. You donate food and the Library rewards you by forgiving $1.00 for each item you donate.

Click here for a printer-friendly list of acceptable goods.

Some fine print:

  • Food will be donated to the Greensburg Cheer Fund for delivery shortly before Christmas with the toys and other items.
  • Only non-perishable foods will be accepted. Unfortunately, we cannot accept canned goods.
  • Please note that we will not be accepting Ramen Noodles this year.
  • Packages may not be broken and must be labeled for sale.
  • Only fees for overdue items checked out at the Greensburg or Westport library branches can be forgiven this way.
  • Unfortunately, donated goods will NOT apply towards lost or damaged library items and can not be applied as credit toward future fines. However, those without library fines are welcomed and encouraged to donate as well!
