Evanced, the service we use for program sign-ups and room reservations, has updated their e-mail policy. Patrons who wish to be notified by e-mail of upcoming programs and events for which they have registered must now opt-in to continue receiving these notifications.

As of 11/3, the first time you would receive an e-mail notification from Evanced (perhaps for a program event reminder), you will instead receive an e-mail from the Greensburg Public Library with the subject line “Please confirm your email address.” This email reads:

In order to receive email confirmations and reminders from our calendar, room reservation, or reading engagement software, we first need you to confirm the acceptance of this email service.

To confirm your email address, please click here. Please note this link will expire in 24 hours.

This is a legitimate email. If you do not click the link in the body of the e-mail within 24 hours, you will no longer receive e-mail notifications for:

    • Registration confirmation
    • Cancellation
    • Waiting list status change
    • Event reminders
    • Upcoming events
    • Reservation requests
    • Reservation confirmations
    • Reservation payment requests
    • Reservation status changes

Unfortunately, Evanced will only send this email once. If you ignore or delete the e-mail, there is currently no way for you to opt-in to receive these notifications on your own. If you find that you are not receiving notifications, or if the link in your opt-in email has expired, please fill out the form below, stop by the check-out desk, or call us at (812) 663-2826 and leave your name and e-mail address.
