Weather and Emergency Closings
Emergency Closings
In the event of emergency conditions the Library may close facilities or discontinue services in order to keep staff and users safe. While not an exhaustive list, the following conditions may necessitate emergency closings: hazardous weather conditions, utility failures, building damage, official closing by local authorities, or severe outbreak of illness.
Notification of Closing
Public media announcements will be made with WTRE (AM 1330) and Indianapolis television networks WISH Channel 8, WTHR Channel 13, and WXIN Channel 59. If possible notice will also be posted in the library facilities.
